About

Inspired by Sharecare’s Community Well-Being Index (CWBI), this app concept gamifies health behavior and makes well-being data personal and actionable. Designed in Figma, the app helps users find nearby activities and connect with others in their area to earn points tied to Sharecare’s five core domains: purpose, social, community, financial, and physical well-being.

Scope

Approach

→ Reviewed CWBI data structure and methodology to identify measurable domains suitable for user-facing UX
→ Researched gamification models for behavior change across health and fitness industries
→ Analyzed UX patterns from apps like Strava, Nike Training Club, and Nextdoor for neighborhood-level discovery and group participation
→ Conducted informal interviews with young adults in urban areas to test appetite for social-health features and reward systems

Design

→ Built a location-based interface where users browse activities and experiences categorized by CWBI domain
→ Developed iconography, tags, and UI components to signal duration, intensity, category, and reward structure
→ Prototyped interactions like "Challenge a Friend," "Nearby Trending," and "Earned Points" flows to visualize impact in real time

Implementation

→ Created high-fidelity prototype in Figma
→ Designed with flexibility for integration into Sharecare ecosystem or stand-alone community wellness app
→ Optimized layout for mobile-first use with map-based navigation and swipeable card previews
→ Concept grounded in Sharecare's proprietary CWBI data, WeCare travel app, and brand goals, with potential to support public health campaigns and corporate wellness programs
