The Contagion Next Time

Dean Sandro Galea's The Contagion Next Time examines what COVID-19 revealed about health, inequality, and the choices societies make about who gets to be healthy.

I worked with Galea to translate the research behind it into the figures that appear throughout the book, finding clear visual forms for complex data and arguments without losing the ideas behind them. My contribution is credited in the introduction. During the same period I designed the visual identity for The Healthiest Goldfish, Galea's newsletter series.

Published by Oxford University Press, the book carries the figures I created for it. The Healthiest Goldfish, whose visual identity I designed, continues as Galea's newsletter.
